soul of People Tree, the inspirer of many a young creative person, the
‘always-thinking-and-doing-the-next-dream’ man. Orijit (aka Orgy, Oji,
O.G.G., etc) brings a brilliant combination of wit, imagery and acute
social sensitivity to his multi-faceted work on comics, book covers,
posters, t-shirt art and so much else. His personal presence, exuding
an ‘ever-watchfulness’ and deee…eeeep silence with that twinkle in the
eye of the great player of many a game – that is what gives People Tree
its edge.” Orijit studied graphic design at the National Institute of Design. He has worked on several exhibition and museum design projects in India, the UK and Russia. He also works as a freelance graphic designer, comics creator and illustrator in addition to functioning as the Creative Director of People Tree, which he co-founded with wife Gurpreet in 1990. His published works include The River of Stories, Imung and the award-winning collaboration Trash!. |
