Ajmal started it all. Coming along and suggesting we dropped out of being 'designers'...suggesting we open up 'The Public Clinical Laboratory’ (the lab) and sell t-shirts. So we did just that. Had a party, painted t-shirts, dusted the place, hung up the t-shirts and started to sell.

That is how People Tree began.

Ajmal started off his artistic career at the Kanoria Art Centre in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Went to France to study painting.Later came to Delhi.

Now he divides his time between Goa and Delhi. His partners now are his wife and two beautiful daughters. He  paints and sells t-shirts and paintings. He's been a versatile painter.Some times painting flourescent landscapes and at other times large human forms and faces in deep colours and natural dyes.

Lately Ajmal has been commisioned to paint/decorate interiors of homes in Goa.
