| Handcrafted things by themselves are about personal involvement, and when a weave I create is also within the tradition of some community,as frequently it is,the connection feels very intimate...different hands, perhaps on different continents crafting material in similar ways...primal resonance? |

| The nature of patterns, combination of colours used lend themselves to associations with other handicrafts. One is reminded of the geometric and vibrant character of an African batik, whereas, other pieces have a galloping feel that recalls horses, tomahawks and dreamcatchers. |
